Members of the First United Methodist Church in Churdan will serve their annual roast beef dinner next Sunday, April 19, from 11 am to 1:30 pm at the church at 804 Head Street.
The menu hasn’t changed since the first dinner in 1984 – roast beef, real mashed potatoes and gravy, the famous Mount sweet corn (grown specially for the dinner, picked and frozen in July by a dedicated crew of volunteers), rolls, salad, all served family style, and a dessert bar that features the best selection of homemade pie anywhere in Greene County. There will be home grown horseradish, freshly ground for the dinner, too.
Carry-outs will be available by calling 515-389-3181. Tickets will be available at the door at a cost of $10 for adults and $5 for children. There is no charge for children younger than 5 years.
