It’s time for roast beef in Churdan

Roast beefMembers of the First United Methodist Church in Churdan will serve their annual roast beef dinner next Sunday, April 19, from 11 am to 1:30 pm at the church at 804 Head Street.

The menu hasn’t changed since the first dinner in 1984 – roast beef, real mashed potatoes and gravy, the famous Mount sweet corn (grown specially for the dinner, picked and frozen in July by a dedicated crew of volunteers), rolls, salad, all served family style, and a dessert bar that features the best selection of homemade pie anywhere in Greene County. There will be home grown horseradish, freshly ground for the dinner, too.

Carry-outs will be available by calling 515-389-3181. Tickets will be available at the door at a cost of $10 for adults and $5 for children. There is no charge for children younger than 5 years.
